The atlas HG masons patent nov 30th 1858 in olive green books for 40-60, in light olive green 20-25. Do the swirled colors make it worth 50 bucks more? don't think so but 25-40 bucks would be a good deal.

I thought it was way over priced...

Sorry guys, but I disagree.Depending on the intensity of the color of the swirling,I would not hesitate to pay 80 bucks for that jar.
I would TRY to get the jar for the 50-60 mark, and would probably resort to bringing 5 or 6 swirled jars in to show for comparison. It would take a little work, but I would get the jar

Agreed! I would have to see at least a picture of the jar to commit $80.00 but if the swirling is as profuse as it sounds $80.00 would not be too mich. I have a friend who would probably pop on it even without seeing a picture just on the description. There are collectors who really appreciate that sort of stuff, myself included.

You should see what insulator collectors pay for swirled and "Junk 'n Stuff" pieces.

It is more of olive spots but I used swirl as a gerneral term... it have large olive spots.. it is a really nice jar but the price I can not justify the price...

One thing I have notice about the ATLAS jars with olive in them....they are not swirls so much as they are "sheets" of color.....

I have not seen too many ATLAS jars with whisps...small intense lines....I would have to see that jar before plopping down that kind of cash...but if it is as nice as ya say..make the shop and offer...most will knock off
10 - 15%...maybe more if they want the sale....

Good luck

David
