I need a Redbook #10 also. There are many variants,1/2",3/4" and 5/8" tall letters just on Masons alone can mean price differences.Heres a few references Ive written down. A ground (rough) top was made before 1900. Reproductions have 3 equally spaced mold seams but all 19th century Masons have 2 piece molds. Although the "dimple" in the glass to hold the wire closure was invented in the late 1800`s,it was patented in 1908 and eliminated the need for the wire around the jar to hold the closure wire in place. There is a "miget" Mason with a Zinc screwtop lid that is sought after, but I forget what they get for those.Maybe $40.00-$50.00? The third loop on Ball jars before it goes to the underscore dates it 1900-1910 Backward letters mean little to value. If it could hold a product good without a major problem they would keep right on making them. The more you made, the more you got paid. The single number on the base is the number of the mold crew that made the jar. This is how the company knew how many the crew made per day/night and thus got paid. Rare colors like any glass can be and usually are more sought after.I had a clear Lightning jar that was,(I broke it ),worth $10.00 with the lid and bail wire.It was worth more than that to me,but I mean basic worth. The same jar in Cornflower blue,Amber or Apple Green is worth $125.00-$250.00 Most all common jars are worth $3.00-$5.00 I dont know about jar books, but some of the bottle books prices are quite higher than they really are worth. Welcome to the forum, good luck and I hope you finds some beauties.
