Welcome to the forum dr. pierce.  If you are not John Throop you might want to contact him.  He is an advanced collector of Dr Pierce and he might have some dupe items for sale or trade.   I think I have his contact info at home if you need it email me.    Good luck with your collection.    Paul

I will see John at the Grandville show on the 23rd of Feb.  I will give him your info then.   I was wondering about one Dr Pierce bottle I have.  It has ridges on the back so I thought that was a little unusual.  At least I've never seen one like it before.  Would it have held some kind of poison and that's why the ridges?  Too small of increments for doses.  Anyway, here's a pic.  I would like to know what your ideas are on it.   Good luck with your collection.    Paul

That's a nice selection of Pierce bottles Paul. The one with the ridges on the back looks quite unusual to me, I would guess it is one of the earlier ones, I have never seen it before. This is a pretty common medicine in my part of the world, but I have not seen that many different ones that have that good a colors, mostI see with exception of one are usually always aqua in color. I have a book somehwere from Dr. Pierce listing all the medicine he made with description of what they were used for, along with testimonials from people as to how good they are. That is another thing buiried some place like so much other stuff around here. Thanks for the post of the bottles, I enjoyed seeing them.
