Hi Wendy, That is one of many different embossed poisons produced by Sharp and Dohme. That particular one is a KO-6, they came in amber, cobalt and a lighter blue. Fairly common, value would be around $10-15. I saw a cobalt one on eBay today. They are neat little bottles with the lattice pattern, I like them. Jim

Just want to thank you Jim!!...I do appreciate your help.....I  had looked in Kovels (12th edition)  and they had 2 Sharp & Dohmes list ....both amber..one was 1910 and priced at $235...the other with cross crossing was $132 (with label)....anyway I thought both prices sounded great..  but probably too good to be true...so thanks for reality

I don't understand how folks who have had so much experience in the antique & collectables biz could have such a screwed up price guide.
I think I will email them about this.

I think I know which one you saw in the Kovels' book. Sharp and Dohme made an amber criss-cross poison that is similar to yours, but has a skull and crossbones with two stars embossed along with POISON on each side. Kovels' descriptions can be very vague, and they often list the same bottle two or three times with different prices  Some of the irregular hexagon poisons are listed twice right next to each other with a slightly different description, but it is the same bottle! Many of them are not even listed at all.

The cobalt one like yours on eBay sold for over 30 bucks, so they are a decent bottle. I have some $5 common poisons that I really like, and there are a few $1000+ ones that don't really excite me. I wish I had better news for you about the value of your bottle, but as long as you like it, that's what counts Poisons are my favorites. Jim

P.S.- I agree with Mark. Kovels seem to be way out of line on a lot of bottle prices, both high and low. The best book I have found for poisons is the APBCA Workbook and Price Guide. It's $50, but well worth it if you're into poisons.
