this one came out of a 70's - 80's pit.

we don't dig much puce glass so i thought i'd share.

has the " nipple " bottom.

we found the top to it. it was a nice crude looking double taper top.

wish i had taken the time to collect the pieces, but it was one of those
privvies where they had thrown the stone liner down into the hole when they
tore it down.

Epic color, could you post more of the base and top. It resembles some of the 1860s 6ths and 5ths we dig out here ! ???

this one a little better.. can't locate the top, but i recall it reminded me of a Congress Water looking type double taper top. it was applied with a bit of drip off the bottom taper. beatiful dark puce since the glass was thicker at the top. i'm gonna have to look again...........

it's the right size for a master ink.

all the neat bottles in the hole were broken.
many of the commons were whole.............

I dug a broken master ink in that same exact color. The color reminded me of a pane in a stained glass church window !
