are these two basically the same..one is a little bigger but are they considered the same id #...thanks

Both of the bottles are KV-1's made by the Eli Lilly & Company Indianaplolis, Indiana. From what I can tell from the picture the left maybe ABM and the right one BIM. One of them is probably 3 1/2 inches tall and the other one is probably 3 5/8 inches tall or either 2 5/8 or 2 3/4 inches tall. With a close up picture of the two bottles and knowing how tall they are I could tell with out a doubt.

Both bottles should have two flat front sides and a rounded back too be KV-1's. If one of them should be diamond shaped (four flat sides instead of two flat sides with a rounded back) it would be classified as a KD-1.

It's probably the most common of all poisons.  They were made for at least 30 years.  Patented in 1906, and were made until screw tops were common place...as there are some screw tops examples out there.  You can read more about these there:
