Dots on the bottom of a bottle may mean many different things but not necessarily that the content is poison.

They could just be vent marks or strength marks like on the bottom of snuff bottles.

Welcome to the forum, ahatfield. While raised dots are often a characteristic of poison bottles, the Wheaton Ball and Claw is actually a reproduction of a classic bitters bottle. The Wheaton bottles come in some very nice colors, and they are very collectible. I have two of the Ball and Claw bottles in blue, and I have also seen them in green, red, yellow and purple. Jim
