That jade ring (if it is jade) could be worth some pretty good beer money. Someone else dug one of those three monkey things.

Looks like you're in the 1920's era, maybe 30's...   There's always something cool in those dumps.  I like the monkey thing..Anybody know how much those blue poisons are worth?  A friend of mine dug one but I don't know poisons.

Hello I have had the exact monkeys before.  They were glued on a souvenir ink blotter.  They sat on the leather top flap and I think there was a felt like bottom pad.  I think mine was from Old Orchard Beach Maine but not 100% sure.  They probably sold them separate and with other things.

North American jade is milky and a lot of it has white stripes in it. It also wasn't known that there was jade up there until the 1970s. I have a bud who was  surveying the oil sands up there in Canada when jade and sapphires were discovered. He is very well off now days.

The ring looks like it could be made of celluloid to me . I was told once that the way to tell if something is made of celluloid is to take and rub it hard for a few seconds . If you can smell camphor on it , it is indeed celluloid . Knife and razor handles were also made of celluloid as well in the early 1900s . I read somewhere some time ago that is why we lost most of our early knife factories in the early 1900s due to stock piles of celluloid kept on hand catching on fire , Celluloid has camphor in it and makes for a quick hot blaze . Once it gets to burning , it is hard to put out .
