syrup - 5/26/2008 11:19:22 PM    wonkapete   Posts: 247 Joined: 4/5/2007 From: Mobile, AL Status: offline For a few years, I concentrated on collecting syrup containers - jugs, cartons, cans, etc..  I collected several hundred, then moved on to something else, most are packed up now.  I unboxed a few over the weekend so I thought I'd share.  I especially like the Kraft and the Heinz!! Anyone else collect syrup containers? You have some nice looking containers there. I have a few syrup jugs , but like everything else I have , they are where I can not get to them without some major effort.     I helped a guy on a rehab of an old house in Ripley , Ohio year before last. It was owned by an attorney . In the basement of the house there were probably a dozen or so cases of Coca Cola syrup jugs with the fishtail labels on them still sealed with the contents in them. I started to ask him a couple of times if he would consider selling me one of them, but he was not all that friendly, so I decided I could live without one of them.
