This one is would be laughable if people weren't getting ripped off. And Ebay in their infinite wisdom has it set up so you can't do anything to alert these suckers

Are you insinuating that the seller is not offering a GENUINE NAVAL BOARDING WEAPON?!  Why the nerve of you.  Don't let him catch wind of your thinking - he may send one of his "private investigators" after you.  Perhaps with a little more time in the trenches you will learn the error of your ways and embrace THE TRUTH

Ebay is not going to get rid of him because he makes them alot of money. Now if it were someone with 16 feed backs they would be gone so fast they would get whiplash...

Ya know what gets me don't cha Spence....the sales pitch is so elaborate. I mean, on and on it goes. It's one thing to sell an item you know nothing more about than what the guy that sold it to you told you. <(?) It's a total con when you put so much info up there that the average new colletor says to themselves well that's sounds reasonable, hell I'm gonna get it. I'd love to buy one, fly to his house and smash him in the face with it and say "see that's what these people feel like when they find out it a piece of mexican garbage"...

but that's me.

Copy and paste any of the material into Google - the entirety of the verbiage is "borrowed" from wikipedia....

I've been emailing  druggistnut (Bill) about this seller. I just emailed a manager at ebay. Below is my email to him and his reply, this was all done with the last hour. I've deleted everything but the body of the emails. If anyone wants to see them in total contact me.

My email to ebay

Xxx Hi I got your email from alinchitown  from the sports board. I collect antique bottles along with  other stuff.  A bunch of us have been following the seller sirmarkw on an antiques bottle board.  He has been selling these fake Naval Boarding Weapons, Deck Sweepers for over a year.  He has sold tens to hundreds of these things.  At first he said he only had 3 or 4 now he admits to 40 or 50. He also claimed they came from a federally protected area off Rhode Island. Now he's buying them from auctions, or finding them diving.  There are many people on the antiques board that are more knowledgeable about these than me.  I also posted one of his closed auctions on the Antiques board on ebay a week or so ago. Not only are the bottles bad so are some of his other items as well. I can forward the discussions if you would like to see them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks Dennis Clack  His reply
Thanks for the email Dennis -  Let me see what I can do - I appreciate you reporting this stuff in.  Even though I'm not the best person here at eBay - I still care - and want to help out!!! I'll get back to you. Best,Xxx If the manager needs additional info on sirmarkw I hope you guys can lend a hand. I'll keep you updated.

HERE, at least the searchers can find out.  If anyone wants anything else in the listing that is within the laws of eBay, either ask a question about the item on there, or send me a PM here.

old story guys, we already had him removed once, and then he came back.  A report was even filled with his local police department.  At least 60 people have e-mailed ebay about him, he has been reported to the port authority and it's even been tried to get him through post office for mail fraud... let it go, it will drive you nuts.

truth is e-bay does not and will not care.  He hasnt done anything illegal because it is online, (that is what the police said) so the police will not touch it and the post office cant do anything because the buyer has agreed to buy them item, as is.

Ever wonder where he gets his exhaustive text descriptions?

It appears he steals them...

Not surprising I guess
