tumbling bottles - 9/13/2003 8:48:11 AM    cathie   Posts: 1 Joined: 9/13/2003 Status: offline I'm brand new and am a little leary of asking questions that have probably been asked a million times. I just bought a used tumbler to clean the insides of bottles I collect. No one that I know has any experience in bottles, let alone cleaning them. I called the manufacturer of the tumbler and he knew nothing but suggested I check out the internet. Thats how I found my way here. I bought the tumbler from a a man who used it to clean bullet casing but I dont think that I would use the same medium.( it looks like kitty litter) What should I use for medium, and where can I get it? < Message edited by cathie -- 9/13/2003 1:35:41 PM > Post #: 1

You have to hold the bottle stationary inside. The medium that seems to work the best is tiny cuts of copper wire. Then you add your polishing material.
