I got this one at an antique shop for 6.00 only because its so crude, Its only embosed on one side with the picture of washington and the words The Father Of His Country Washington. The base is very thick glass (aprox 1/2 inch) and has lots of debris that look like bits of opal type glass. The glass looks like it was pored in a very cold mold. I've added a bunch of picks but if others are needed just let me know. Would like to know what type of repo it is or if its something else and whats it worth besides 6 bucks?

It is very pretty, but my guess is repro.  I bought an historical flask one time at a store near here for $2 on the off chance it could be real.  It had those speckles of different colored paint like your's does.  Let's see what the experts say, though.

Taking another look at the pics, I don't see basewear either.

Hi and Thanks cyberdiger for the link.  I have collected a lot of links from the FORUM readings.
I can only say that I prefer the old mouth blown glass and the workmanship that the glass makers had to master. They just spoil the art of finding and appreciate the early forming characteristics of a beautiful old bottles.  It seems ludicrous, but I suppose the gift shops can make some money off of them.  I can't visualize how the glass company can though.  RED M.

I thought it might be a wheaton when I first saw it but it is so crude were as the wheatons are usually clean and well made. This one is really whittled and the glass is very uneven. This one is 8" high base is 3 3/8 x 2

That's true.. the crudeness is the one thing stopping me from telling you with ..authority..  ..that it's a Wheaton...

Just as a ps to last post, I have a wheaton and this one is aprox 1/4" taller, is much fuller around and washingtons features are more well defined ie hair, cheeks etc also much much cruder.

Just another thing I noticed is that the mold lines end below the lip and circle the lip about 1/2 " below the top, so it appears the lip was applied seperately. The mold lines run down the side of the bottle to just above the base (aprox 1/16" up) Dont know it that means anything

I would say that a very deliberate effort was made to have this bottle look crude, but there is nothing authentic looking about it.. as far as repros go, you can't fault it on it's cruditees.. but that  looks like art glass from the 19-60-s to me..

I have one of the blue ones and it always puzzled me, due to its crudity, but it is a repro. The seam around the neck is indicative of the early Owens bottle making machines, and is typical for the Italian made repros.
