epackage, you are referring to the original Roorbach closure patented in 1883, The later "improved" Roorbach bottles have 3 patent dates, the original date in 1883 and two dates in 1885. The improved Roorbach closure used a floating ball and the gasket fit in a single groove. The ball closure is a two piece vulcanized India rubber ball that floated. Most, but not all, of the Roorbach improved closure bottles contain the letters FBS on the base. These letters stand for floating ball stopper. There was no need for indentions on the floating ball closure bottles These are the rascals I am looking for, not the solid glass gravitating stopper type marbles. Thanks to all
