I believe it's supposed to be a cigar. Nice find.

Hey Henry,

Great find! A figural whiskey nipper doesn't come along often, if ever.

The Corning Museum has one in their collection.

Congratulations, you're in pretty good company. Did this come outta yer late late lamented milk dump?

Hey Joey,

I am sorry, i zigged when I shoulda zagged. Please pardon my CRS syndrome.

I think it's quite a bit earlier than most of the stuff I remember you pulling out. Rarity wise, I don't know for sure, as I've never dug one. Maybe some of the other more experienced diggers can advise.

It's a real nice example. I'd like to see more pictures. When they get front row, near center shelf at the Corning Museum, I'd say good enough for me.

They aren't that rare, I see them from time to time. They usually sell for $20-50 range but I don't know about yours... do I see a small chunk out of the top?
They also came in 2 sizes (that I know of), the more common being about 5½" and a larger 7½".
Very nice looking on a shelf as long as they don't roll off.

Hello Joey Haman;  I have two different sizes of these.  They show up and some of the bottle shows and one of mine came from eBay.   There is also one that was made to be a nipper, it had a CT thread cut int he mold and a formed metal cap with a cork ring insert.  I haven't bought one of them yet.  RED Matthews

Some of these were sold or given away by distilleries to whiskey customers.  Foust Distillery from Glen Rock did a lot of figurals and yours could have come from there.  They usually had a little paper label or company info on the top of the cork/cap.

Figurals meaning representations of other objects that they were not really intended for? If so, what are some other examples of figurals?

Hi again,  I think paid $ 12 for the smaller one at a bottle show and $22.50 for the eBay one.  They can follow me home in that price range.  I noticed your pistol candy bottle in your show case.  At least that is what I thought it must be.  I don't have one in that dark a glass - most of them are clear glass so the kids can see the candies.  One of mine I got when I was about nine years old at our local grocery store.  RED Matthews

Figurals meaning insanely tricky to photograph at this time of night for me anyway. Here's a few of the better known figs i have up front and easy to get at....
