hi everyone,  found this in the woods sometime ago.  the tip on one end is broken. it is not concrete.   any ideals appreciated.  thanks for looking.  rhona

Pretty cool Rhona. I beleive it is a heraldic shepherds cross or maybe a type cercelee cross.

I just so happen to know what that is,

It a newer insulator designed to replace pintype insulators. It would be mounted on an armless pole and the top hook would hang on a dead wire wile the other 3 hooks would hold live ones. It's pretty new, i would say from the 1990's but it's not too bad of a find really, pyres makes them in glass as well. here in downtown Columbus ohio i see lots of them on newer power lines, look around dowtown and you might see some too.
