found these last weekend have no clue what they could be. Your guess is as good as mine the one on the left is 5 1/2 in tall and the one on the right is 3 1/2.

That's all batteries.. you should try not to touch the big one on the left too much, and wash your hands before rubbing your eyes..

I think those center rods are carbon.

This brought on a flashback!

When I was in elementary school my friend and I would wander the woods & abandoned rail near my house. We found (what i now know) is a dump, but back then just thought was a spot where someone tossed lots of cool bottles.

Anyway, scavenging around we found a few sticks of that stuff, and let me tell you, to a 9 year old that looks a lot like the dynamite you see on tv. Couple that with the deep holes scattered all around the hill (spots diggers didn't fill in), we thought for sure we had found some explosives!

The tracks up ahead cut through a hill, so at the time it made absolute sense! We were always careful not to handle it (too much), though of course we threw it a few times to see what would happen.

Never did get a boom out of it... i wonder if i rubbed my eyes afterward?
