29 years ago, when I bought my summer home in Western MA, there was a collection of seemingly old bottles. I put them in a basement cupboard and sort of forgot about them. I just took them out and have 18 bottles a/o flasks, dating I suspect from mid 1800's to mid 1900's. There are soda bottles, water bottles, medicine flasks, liquor bottles and flasks and chemist bottles. I am not a collector and would like to sell them but do not know where to start. I did do some research here, ebay, and google and got some approximate values for most. I have 3 bottles I cannot find any real info about.
Should I post this "collection" here? w/pictures?
Any and alll advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Larry

sounds like some goodies. Its good that you researched approximate values, that is where you start if you want to sell them. A lot of people seem to dislike ebay, but I don't. On the other hand you can sell them here (preferably to me). Either way, if you want to sell them online you are gunna need some pics.

I will start uploading pix of my "treasures"
The first is a bottle from Golden Wedding - I assume it is for some liquor. It is an ornate bottle with embossing designs on front, back and sides. On the bottom it reads /PAT. APPLIED FOR\ and /NOV 28TH 1924\

Any info about this bottle of Sawyer's Crystal Blueing. It is a pale green or aqua flask. At bottom it reads Sawyer's Crystal Blueing. Bottom has a 6 or a 9 embossed on it.

This will be last flask I will post about. It is clear glass flask, 8" tall, 3" wide, 1 3/4" deep.. Embossing ios on the sides. One side reads: HAGEES'S CORDIAL then in smaller font, OF THE EXTRACT OF, then below that in bigger font, COD LIVER OIL COMPOUND.
On the other side it reads: KATHARMON CHEMICAL CO.
ST. LOUIS, MO
On the bottom there is a diamond with what seems to be the numbers 179.

The dimensions on the Golden wedding are: 6 7/8' tall, approx 1 1/2" deep, and 4" at it's widest point.
The dimesnions for the Sawyer's Crystal Blueing are: 6 1/8" tall, 3" wide, & 1 3/8" deep.

That is a machine made medicine, you can see the owens suction ring mark. Probably made around 1910-1920 period

You are right Gunther, and the diamond could even be for Diamond Glass since it didn't have the O-I.  RED M.

Thanks Gunther and Red for the info about the Hagee's. Did Owens become part of Owens corning glass? Any ideas about the value of this bottle?
