One way to find out is put it on ebay with a 5 million dollar reserve and see what people bid on it. That costs you about 2 bucks. You can take it to the antiques road show. That costs you , what? 30 bucks? You can hire an appraiser, that can cost serveral hundred bucks. You can take it to a museum, that's maybe free if someone will talk to you.

Hi,
I was wondering how you made out in valuing your bottle. I have a similiar question and will be posting a tread about it.
I have bottles from some famous shipwrecks that I do not know how to value. I have a soda bottle that says Belfast. It was from 1886. I know this because that's when the ship sank. The bottle was recovered years ago by an old diver. He asked me to sell it for him. I want it. But i can't tell him that because he won't take money from me. So I need to figure out what its worth and tell him I sold it for that much. Any ideas?
Thanks

Funny, I've been after a guy about digging a privy. The origianal house is late 1600's. Many aditions were made and some by a cousin of admiral Byrd who owned the property. I have all the permission but have no idea where to start looking. All the "dump land" is developed.
