Hey all
I just recently traded for the panther piss whiskey bottle I had posted pic of earler. The thing is theres a dark hardened substances in the bottom .Not sure what it even is .This was a perscription whiskey as it has just a bit of the perscription lable left on the back side . Was wondring if anyone might have any ideal what it might be . I know a little history on the guy it was written for .Seem he was an alcholic and opium addict stemming from the 1st world war .So was wondering if maybe something my have been added to his drink . Thanks for any help and good luck diggen and finding to all.

Hey bill.....Looks like dehydrated old rotgut to me! I've got an old  "Bottled in Bond" flask, and even though it has had a stopper in it all these years it has some dried up whiskey in it too.....smells alot like turpentine now!

it's also possible these bottles were re-used to store other stuff after their time storing " panther piss " were over.

You won't find any dried up whiskey in the bottom of any bottle. Whiskey is alcahol and will evaporate but won't leave much of a residue. If it was mixed with opium not only would it likely be deadly but that is what would be in the bottom of your bottle.

Like Jim said, they were most likely reused.
