I got this blob top bottle covered in wicker. it is over 14 inches tall. I can see that it has one word embossed on it, in script, starting at the bottom and going up to the right at an angle. I believe there is an L somewhere in the middle of the word. Does anyone has any idea what it might be?

I 'd rather have the bottle covered in wicker if it is just some common bottle underneath, but I am really curious.

Here is another wicker covered bottle I picked up. I looks like a half loaf of bread demijohn. It is 8 inches tall and 4 by 6 inches wide.

How did you know that I had a cat?  Do I look like a cat lady or something?  It must be really bad if you can tell I have a cat by looking at me through the internet.

I know I am not giving too much info there, but it is hard to read the embossing by looking down through the bottle.  But, how many embossed 14 inch blobs can there be?

HARD CHOICE SOMETIMES. I HAD ONE AND TOOK THE WICKER OFF AND IT WAS EMERALD GREEN AND HAD A HUGE PONTIL! I THINK THE HALF LOAF OF BREAD ONE WOULD LOOK COOLER WITH OUT THE WICKER.COURSE THAT IS JUST MY OPINION. JAMIE

We had a ball a few years ago at a bottle show. My buddy and I went in together and bought a wickered covered amber flask. We paid a fair amount for it, knew it was a gamble, but just had to do it. Jim Hall from Chicago did the honors of stripping the flask, and out came one of the most beautiful double eagles I have seen, it was a Stoddard Glass Works in a true Stoddard amber, it just glowed. I think that that is as close as you can come to attic mint, neat to hold a flask in your hands that hadn't been touched in well over 100 years. The guy we bought it from was bummed, he had always wanted a "Stoddard" flask, and he lamented he didn't even know he had owned one for years.
