wood molds find - 1/26/2012 1:29:26 PM    coreya Posts: 792 Joined: 4/30/2007 From: Summerfield, Fl Status: online Went out today (thurs) just to kill some time and stopped at a local junk shop / auction house and while digging thru the bins found 3 wood molds that appear to have been used for glass blowing. Checked on a price and at a buck apiece could not pass them up. Anyone who has some knowledge of these please lets hear it. Also found a creamtop spoon that will go with my cream top jar in one of the bins also a buck. [image] [/image] Post #: 1

There are no details in the cavitys and they are all smooth. As to the type of wood I havn't a clue other than it is a very hard wood. (Red you always have an open invitation here in Ocala, I cant get away as we take care of my wifes mother) Todd I agree one of them looks like the lamp chimney.
