Bought this just today and wondering about value? I'm going to keep it no matter what, it's old, looks cool and I just bought a new house so I can start my collecting again, more room....

It's a wooden crate with a Posion label - formaldehyde from whitmoyer laboratories inc in myerstown pa.. inside was this HUGE bottle, like the kind people put pennies in - with poison scum still in it. Bottom of bottle has a huge "G" on the bottom, and the year 1929 and the number... I'd say it's a 5 gallon capacity...

I'll try to upload a pic, but my comp is pretty lousy.....

BTW, the bottle has no chips or cracks anywhere!!!!

Thanks in advance

couldn't get pix to upload... sorry

hey lachance. The "G" if it is only a G is probably for Glenshaw Glass Company, Glenshaw,Pa. 1895-present. Good luck

OK - what you have is the Shipping crate ot a later Demi-john bottle which were shipped to Pharm's/Doctors etc etc,.....
The Crate could be worth a few bucks!!!,
the bottle is even better to have!.....
DO NOT REPAINT or REFINISH THE CRATE!....
also try to get a pic,the better/size/ type of "FONT/lettering" they use could bring a few extra dollars!

I also have a crate but from Sharps and Dohme and abit earlier "late 1800's",
post this in the posions section.......
