Hello,
I purchased this Tell City, Ind at the Indianapolis Bottle Club's first show. This is the first I've seen that city name is underlined where Chero-Cola normally is embossed.Around the base-
6-1/2 FLU.OZ./PROPERTY OF CHERO COLA BOTTLING CO.
Bottom
THIS BOTTLE NEVER SOLD

Mfg mark. 1828 EG 23

I've seen that before. I own a G&L Bottling Company bottle from Pocahontas VA which made me think that they were bottling Chero-Cola in Pocahontas, but in fact it was the Obbagy Brothers Bottling Company who was. It still remains a mystery to me why G&L used this particular style embossing on their bottles. Maybe it just one of the lesser used styles in the glassmaker catalog.
