Hello all,

I recently found this interesting green bottle which really has the same shape as a modern day scope (mouth wash) bottle. Could it have been used as mouth wash? Any ideas on the age and what this bottle was used for?

Description:

About 7 - 8 inches tall; emerald green; sunken concave pannels on both sides with lines running vertically (like a poison bottle); the base has "Registered" embossed with an embossed triangle with 29 in it.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm older than Scope® and that looks older than me :p It also doesn't look like any I've ever seen. It may have been mouthwash but it looks more like a lotion or hair product to me.

I think it does have an applied lip. Looks British to me, or maybe Australian. It doesn't strike me as something that came out of North America.

Yes, its an applied lip. Could be British as I found this one in a British Colony. I think its older than 1920. I am guessing 1890s? Any thoughts?

That's an unusual one for sure. A label only bitters, maybe?
