Owens Illinois but need help with more info

Hello, I have a Owens Illinois marked bottle. I am not sure of the date but one thing that confuses me and I can't find a second one similar is that it has marked on it...around the neck it says Registered Patented then in quotes it says "PRIOF" not proof but PRIOF. I will include pictures. Any ideas what it is and why the Proif?

It could possibly some sort of baby bottle. But not sure. It looks like it's from 1931 according to the owens mark. Not sure what Proif stands for though.

1931 sounds about right and I think it's one of those juice bottles like Welch's or similar. Priof is a closure type.
