Last week while digging in the New York City area, we recoverd a olive green Saratoga style mineral water (except that it has an applied blob top instead of a double collared lip) embossed "F.H. Hecking's / Mineral Waters / New York." I cannot find any listing or information on the bottle . . . can someone help us out?

We can accurately date the bottle to the 1860s as it was found at the top of an 1850s to 1860s layer with both pontiled & smooth based bottles (such as a Wheeler's Bitters, other smooth based Saratoga style mineral waters such as a Clarke & White, iron pontiled colored soda style bottles such as DeMott's, Boardman & Knickerbocker, etc.)

Thanks, Andy

Still looking for any information on the "F.H. Hecking's / Mineral Waters / New York" ... and I finally got a picture to post which might help. The bottle in question is on the left next to a standard size Clarke & White for comparison. They are still dirty here (but cleaned up sweet) as this picture was taken in the hotel room right after they were dug . Any info would be great.

Thanks, Andy
