WENT DIGGING WITH MY FATHER THE OTHER DAY , FIRST TIME SINCE I WAS 5 YRS OLD . I WENT LOOKING FOR BOTTLES HE WENT TO REMINISCE AND SEE IF I WAS DIGGING IN THE SAME SPOT AS HE WAS 35 YRS AGO . WELL WE WENT TO ANOTHER SITE AND AFTER 3 HRS I WAS FRUSTRATED BECAUSE EVERYTIME I GO I FIND AT LEAST ONE MARBLE . AS WE WERE WALKING OUT WE STOPPED TO LOOK AT SOME SHARDS ON THE GROUND AND HE FOUND A MARBLE THE BLUE ONE . TWO FEET AWAY I FOUND THE RED ONE . ALSO FOUND A EVENING IN PARIS COBALT CRYSTAL SHAPED PERFUME WITH THE LID STICKING OUT OF THE GROUND . I WOULD LIKE TO TELL HIM WHAT KIND OF MARBLES THESE ARE . THE DUMP AREA IS 1900 TO 1940 . THANKS FOR ANY HELP . I LET HIM KEEP THE BOTTLES WE FOUND PLUS THE PERFUME . DIDNT GET PICS BUT MOST WERE SEMI COMMONS . SAM

HE DID MARK THE SPOT WE FOUND THEM , BY MAKING A BOTTLE TREE . ANYONE EVER THOUGHT OF THIS? HANGING BOTTLES ON TREE BRANCHES . IT IS A VERY FLOOD PRONE AREA . SO WE COULDNT MARK THE GROUND .

I'm no expert by any means but I do have a book and that makes me extremely dangerous. Looks like to me you have a couple of Akro Agates there and the red is possibly an oxblood. The blue one is probably the best of the 2 because of the color. Sounds convincing doesn't it. Again, I'm no expert. Take it for what it's worth. BTW, the red one may be worth $20 and the blue one maybe worth a little more.

Those fall into the West Virginia Marble Swirl types. Look Cairo Novelty Company to me. No Oxblood. Kinda have a Heaton Agate look to them as well.

Hey Sam great marbles I've got a whole bottle of them I've picked up over the years. At an old house I had in Baltimore when ever I did any landscaping around the house old marbles would always come up. Oh and I noticed by the lines on your hand they say you will become a bottle collector. It's so cool being a physic!!
