Here is one of my favorite Pontils on a very old 1740 to 1780 plain large, 6 inches tall and 2 inches wide, double gathered Southern New Jersey medicine bottle. The pontil is a deep shaped cone type traveling nearly two inches up into the base of the bottle. The color is a very deep yellowy green and the neck is slightly off center. The bottle is pictured next to another Wistar made vial bottle.
