Reminds me of the Holmes from N.O. with that fluted shoulder and neck. Not a common feature at all in early sodas. Y'all sure have some beauties. Keep 'em coming!

By the way, I'm still wanting the violet cobalt Holmes wherever it is.

The Wake & Co. is extremely rare and a great bottle.

Here is a Bermingham that is ten times tougher to find than other ones you might see. Most of the ones have a reversed N in Bermingham when you come across one, but this one has the correct N and is quite rare to find.

These tapered top examples date from around 1850 to 1853.

They are normally found like this. I really like this one as it's highly whittled & crude. [;)]

From Brandon Smiths St. Louis soda guide:

Charles Abel first showed up in the St. Louis records around 1852 operating a coffee house at 174 N. 4th St. By 1853-54 he's listed as running a "beer house" at the same address. From 1857 to 1859 he's listed as a "soda water manufacturer" at 203 Franklin Ave. He's not listed in the 1860 directory and shows up again in 1863 as operating a saloon at 170 N. 4th St. close by his former coffee house location. He runs it until 1867 then after that he disappears from record in St. Louis.

Here are a few different examples of his bottles. There is a small letter variation and a large letter. He also made some sided sodas in a few different variations with the Franklin St. address being the toughest to find. Generally these are seen in aqua but there is a sided example known in cobalt blue. Also a strong teal blue like the one pictured.

There is an extremely rare pure green and a dark olive green known in the large letter variation.

Killer for sure Theo! You have an incredible collection of the Adams. I love them too. I only have the one teal, and it took me over three years to find it! I'm pretty sure you have the color of the one I have. Mine has a lip chip/flake but hope to upgrade it one day. [:)]

Aren't those colored St. Louis bottles pretty? [;)]

Here are some extremely rare colored examples from a friend of mines legendary St. Louis collection. No, sadly they aren't mine. It's what keeps us lookin' tho!

I figured i'd show a few teasers from our upcoming Missouri soda book.

As amazing as all of those previous postings are...imagine one collection with most of them..plus many other unique ones! I have wanted to post some of Tom Feltman's collection but wanted to check with him first. That, and find my pictures. Well his has recently sent some pictures to Peachridge Glass. Here is a link below. His is truly an amazing collection. WARNING: Not for the faint of heart.
