Had a great birthday yesterday, thanks for the shout out on FB John (privycheese). Spent most of the day at an estate sale house, 33 acres, and contents. There were tons of people and tons of stuff. I had a blast and bought some stuff. I got one of these milk cans it has a MASON DIXON FARM label.

Our area is loaded with old stuff and great deals, we are lucky. Picked up these three little stoneware pieces for $13.

I said before I'm a big collector of rusty metal stuff. We are going to turn this ten foot X 20" X 10" hog trough into a planter.

Got this spike puller for $11 and since it's local it might have been used on my railroad.

Pieces of local green marble are always nice to get and make something out of.

Not from the sale but I saw this on ebay and it came on my birthday! 4 inch Bromo with unusual bottom mark.

Lastly, when I went back to the sale to pick up the trough somebody had left this in the dirt with some plastic crap obviously taking what they wanted and leavin the trash. The book is missing the back cover, very dirty, but I was pleased to find signatures of some early locals on the back of the cover. This bible is dedicated to King James ala Jamestown? and look at the Roman Numeral date!

The coolest thing was this property was bought by my famer (Stonetown) friend and soon I will get the first crack at searchin the outbuildings, attic, crawl spaces and metal detecting the farm!
After the auction my wife and I took a drive to Winterthur then had a great meal with my best bud and his wife topped off with cheesecake! Yum

Thanks Chris! Pretty rough shape but I'm glad I picked it out of the dirt and its not getting snowed on tonight. It has three very old signatures on the cover and what looks like a 17?? date.

Happy belated Birthday, Steve!....Sounds like it was real good. Weird about finding the bible, and then the bromo having that cross on it?
