Dug a Scott-Powell Dairies quart. Common, I know. But I figured I'd try and date it anyway. The base is embossed: "SP" and "28". Can I be fairly sure we're talking 1928 Or is the 28 a mold number? If it's a late 20s bottle, I might go back to the site and see what else is there. If it's later, probably not.

If it helps, it's embossed with the 45th & Parrish St. address. And a scripted "Fresher By A Day"...

Thanks!

I was always under the impression that those #'s were mold #'s and not dates. We dig a lot of Scott Powell bottles in Delaware County ,PA. You can check w the Nat'l Assoc of Milk Bottle Collectors and Peter can tell you if that is the date or not.
Where do you dig ? I collect Delco only .
