I've got a brown bottle, that I'm pretty sure dates to 1945, if that's the date code on the right of the maker's mark. The problem I'm having is with the maker's mark, itself. I've done a few rubbings on it with a crayon and a pencil, and just aren't getting very good results. Sometimes it looks like a "7", and other times, like a "2".
Here's the bottom:
And here is some of my rubbings:
I can't seem to find any information on a triangle with a "7" or a "2" inside of it. Any thoughts on how to proceed, or how to get a better rubbing from the bottom of the bottle?
Thank you in advance!
