I noticed this bottle had sold on ebay a couple days ago , surprised to see it as I had never seen this one before . had heard of the Wallace bottling co from Hamilton Ontario but not aware they had an art deco bottle . this one is somewhat unique in terms of design , haven't seen any others exactly like it before

there is a listing in my book for them in Hamilton from 1931-1933 , is the only years there listed as operating , since they operated so briefly I assumed they only had 1 bottle , wasn't aware they had others .

actually found a bottle from them at a flea market near Hamilton a few years back , its also a 7 oz in size but a plain clear bottle made by dominion . says contents 7 oz "Wallace bottling co W Hamilton " with a big W

true there was a number of different bottlers in that city , so a lot of different bottles . makes sense Hamilton would have an art deco bottle as city was fairly big back in the 30's and a centre of industry for the area

not sure how many of the non art deco clear Wallace 7 oz that I've seen but likely not more than a couple others . might of seen one at an antique mall or the bottle show but doesn't seem to be a common bottler to come across

but I haven't been to Hamilton area much , last time would of been 2015 which was when I found Wallace bottle I have .

also have this book from Hamilton , not sure if I've ever mentioned it before , doesn't have a date but think its from the late 20's . not sure where I found it and its not in great shape but some interesting info inside

actually has a section which lists a lot of the manufactures in the city at the time , small list for soft drinks which includes - coca cola and orange crush . also local bottlers like dominion soda water , la kola , sutherlands ltd and wentworth mineral water co.

no mention of Wallace bottling co , so likely not operating yet or too small to bother mentioning .

looked thru the book again , noticed its missing a couple pages , had fell out over the years . doubt its worth anything in this condition but its over 90 years old so. it was made by the city of Hamilton as a promotion tool and geared towards American business people looking to expand into Canada in the booming 20's

able to date it as it mentioned how McMaster university was being moved to Hamilton from Toronto which occurred around the late 20's so book is pre 30's

heard of all the bottlers before except Mclarens ltd ? not sure what they did , not listed in my other books or seen anything from them . maybe related to soda bottling but not as actual brand

That's great info.
You have some pretty great reference books.

the Hamilton book isn't a reference book just one I had found randomly at some point and felt was worth keeping . it was a promotional book given to American business men in an attempt to lure them and company to Hamilton

I don't believe that list is complete as my main bottle book lists other bottlers in Hamilton in the 1920's

google mapped the addresses listed and all were in downtown Hamilton area , none of the buildings seemed to exist now , many were in areas with older brick homes so at one point more industrial
