I posted a picture of this bottle along with a hutch not too long ago. I've been thinking about having this one repaired but I'm not sure where to get that done or if it's even really worth it. Just the very top of the lip is broken off and it's got light scratches all over. I've been told if it weren't broken it would go for around $300. Should I get it clean and/or repaired and where at?

It is unfortunate, but bottles break. They're fragile. There is no true repair, it will still be broken only look a bit better. It won't make it any more desirable. It has character and I hope I look that good when I'm that old.

Well at the very least I think I'd like to have it professionally cleaned and tumbled. Do you have anyone you recommend?

I would agree with having it tumbled , it will help the looks of it tremendously and still look great sitting on a shelf. I’m with UncleBruce on not having the top repaired , I would rather have a rare bottle with the damage yours has than one with a replaced top .

I really appreciate y'alls input and advice. I'll definitely look into Joe Brisson's cleaning services for this and other bottles of mine.
