I’m bidding on eBay but it doesn’t have the year or much information listed. I’m looking for an older vintage bottle, as old as I can find.
Thank you!!!

I'm doubtless very old with a paper label like that what's the top look like if it's a screw thread is definitely not old

Thank you so much! I truly appreciate it!
Screw cap was patented 10, August 1889 in the UK by Dan Roland's. John Landis Mason patented 1858 screw type jar. Screw top medicines were machine made. Most do not have much value. I remember Walgreens. I think I have or had one down the street. Label is not in good shape. Is it full? Still I would not bid on it. Look on this site under the wanted to sell or buy. Put a post for a medicine bottle, with label, maybe the cork, plus contents, how about the box, the pamphlet that came in the box. All these factors add to the value. I would look for the complete works. Just a thought. The empty embossed bottle is just the tip of the iceberg. Welcome to the site Corrine.

Hey Corrine, I just pulled out an 1880's Durkee celerysalt bottle. It is a screwtop shaker. Cork under the cap. Screw caps are older than some think. I would guess the mercurochrome is 1940's or newer.

Wow! Thank you so much for your detailed response, it was everything I was hoping to find out! I am extremely new to bottle collecting and I don’t know much about it but I’m slowly learning. Thank you so much this really helped!
