Hi everyone. Here is a George Brehm Baltimore County MD beer. I think this a loop seal. Has a seam inside the mouth. Is it loop seal or another kind of lighting seal?
Also
On the back side there are bunch of slightly raised misshapen rectangles. Like the mold wanted to spell something and didn’t. Is this a mold error?
Thanks!

This is not a BALTIMORE LOOP SEAL. On those the interior groove is nearly in the center of the lip and much deeper. The groove in your bottle is very near the upper part of the lip and is not nearly as deep as a BLS. I have referred to the blobs like yours as an ALUMINUM SEAL BLOB. I don't believe that is correct. I have recently noticed a picture in David Graci's book on beer/soda closures and it is referred to as a CHAMPION CORK RETAINER.

Thanks for the info and graphics. I appreciate the mention of David Graci’s book. Will have to check that out.

Altered in someway for some reason. Odd area, maybe an old address or partner.

Instead of making a new mold half the embossing was "PEENED OUT" to erase the embossing. Ergo probably a cost saving process. Your photo is not very good, but it may have said something like THIS BOTTLE IS NOT TO BE SOLD or such.

I thought the same thing but it is hard to see how many letters were removed.

Thanks for adding the in situ photo; they always lend interest.
