H.J. Heinz #341 was called the "Small Picnic" bottle and was used to hold sour onions, chow chow pickles, sour spiced gherkins, sour mixed pickles, pickled onions and sweet gherkins. It was machine made and in use from 1920-1937. One is still clarified with manganese (1920's?), the other is not. One early and one later. I noticed on the bottom of the amethyst colored one has an H embossed sideways to the left of the base embossing. Also there is a date mark that i can't make out on the base, right side. I think it may be Hazel Atlas. The other has no such mark. One has a little of the snap lid edge. Here is the pics and glow show!

RB, is that just a normal flashlight you use to bring out the color?
I'm new to this besides just picking them up so please forgive me if its a ridiculous question.

The only ridiculous question is one unasked. No, it is a Convoy C8 firefly uv flashlight. I got it for fluorescent stone. This light is not a toy and is not to be looked directly at with the naked eye at all.

Fascinating, would that be useful in mines to assess oar or mineral veins?
