Epoxy and alcohol dye to tint aqua. Cast a silicone mold of the good side. Tube silicone is a good mold. Grease up the bottle well so it doesn’t stick. You can free mold it as the epoxy starts to thicken. Mold it like clay. I remove the crushed glass and cracks with a dremel so it looks clean or it will be seen in the finish.

You are awesome!!! You know that’s right up my alley…. I will try that. Doesn’t the epoxy stick to you? And just any epoxy? I think I bought a bunch of epoxy…. And make alcohol ink for my paintings- and am proficient at mixing colors to match. Question is, will the shade darken as it sets up…. I will do a pre mix, to test that, because your toilet float has to be color coordinated, right? (Anything teal or aqua is color coordinated with this place!)

What is that zip-tie contributing? Did it hold the chip in place at one time?

This is not a collector bottle, in my estimation -- looks like a machine-made bottle. I think I would put it in the re-cycling bin.

No…. I put it there as a guide, broke out my Drexel, and said “hey, I think I will ask some people who actually know a thing!” I like the bottle, myself…. I just can’t handle that chip!

Looks like this one never made it into the water closet. I have to admit that is an item I had never seen before. I remember metal floats when I was a kid but never a glass one!!!!

Oh, stick with me! Weird stuff that few have ever seen, seems to be my thing, here! But it normally ends up better than a toilet float?!! I have to say, that’s the prettiest toilet float I’ve ever seen!

It's a toilet float. At least I think it is, and the opinion seems to be shared by a lot of other people online. If you really want one you can purchase an intact one now for $45 (I personally would not spend that on one of these) https://www.ebay.com/itm/313107221642
The stopper is not original in that case.

Damned, your consistently good! But once again, here, I am blown away by what it is. , the stopper! It came that way, so I’m not the only one who thought it was a neat looking bottle!

Okay, here is a slightly futuristic approach that might work for you if its "available in your area" or you're willing to go to a place where it is. "CAD/ Computer Assisted Design." Ex. Broward County in FL has a couple of centers where library card holders who have taken a relatively quick + free course can have something scanned and the machine makes the part you need, exactly. Last I heard (pre-Covid) it was just in plastics. Give them some time and hopefully, glass should follow. Who knows? Maybe it already has.

Alcohol keeps it from sticking to my fingers. I found it better to over fill. The epoxy shrinks more than I expected. I sand it down and smooth it out after curing for a week.

A little dye goes a long way. It is very easy to over do it. I mix the epoxy next to a drop of dye. I touch the card I mix the epoxy with to the dye and wipe the excess dye off the card. I use the stained card to mix the dye when you reach the saturation you desire switch to a clean card.
