I saw this one sticking out of the shore, which had apparently eroded a bit over the last year. It's a 7.5 ounce Royal beverage bottle made in Cincinnati, Ohio I think by the Hemingray company. There are some numbers at the bottle of the bottle that I tried to enhance by increasing the contrast, but it's still near impossible to tell what they are. I can't find another bottle like this online. Any ideas for what was originally in this bottle and about the year? I tried finding the top to it, but it didn't turn up.

That's great! Thanks!
Wow that brings back some memories... I dug a bunch of Royals in an old fairgrounds dump when I was kid living in northern Ky just across the Ohio River. The one pictured was pretty scarce, only found one like that. I believe it was the first bottle style used by Royal, the later ones were multipaneled with ROYAL embossed on shoulder usually in clear, green, or less common, in aqua. Would agree with 1910 to 1915ish for that bottle, and it was a soda. Not certain, but I think Royal went out of biz during the prohibition (never found any in dumps newer than late 20s.
