Went to my secret spot and found some nice keepers today.

From left to right:
Bordens 1Pt. Condensed Milk Co.
C. L. Volkert
Louis Kefer Jr.
Joshua Longfield "North of England Sauce" (still with original cork). All bottles are hand-finished except for the Bordens milk bottle which is machine-made.

The Louis Kefer Jr. bottle in situ.

The C. L. Volkert as I extracted it from the mud.

This was what I thought would be Blob-top beer bottle #3 for the day but it turned out to be just the top of a shattered bottle. It didn't seem that all the peices were there, only about 1/3 of the pieces. If all the pieces were there I would have taken them and glued them all back together but it wasn't enough to work with.

Wish I had a spot like that to find bottles. It makes me wonder how many you are missing just hiding slightly below the mud surface not visible to the naked eye. LEON.

I walk that stretch of land once or twice a week and it's always different. Sometimes you find nothing and assume all the bottles are long gone, a week later there will be a dozen bottles just sitting on the surface - exactly where there was nothing the week before. Like you said, they're all just hiding in the mud - hundreds of them all over the place.

Nice bottles. Really love the skinny Borden's Eagle. I've never found one of those, just quarts.

There is a difference. I'm not sure you know that.

Yes, likewise. This was the first and only I've ever found/seen. Never even knew they existed in this style before this.
