Picked up this early 60's? bottle carrier yesterday morning, plan to fill it with time period correct bottles, also found a listing for an embossed later version Pepsi bottle that I've never seen before in amber, working on buying it now.

Nice! Although I am not 100% sure but I think that amber bottle is not a real Pepsi bottle, in that I think it is nuked. Hopefully someone else will have insight on it also.

That's awesome! I hope to have a pepsi collection that big one day. How long did it take to collect all that? I'm assuming pepsi is your favorite soda? Thanks for sharing your collection!

Here is one article on Irridiated bottles. Most of them turn shades of purple. Like I mentioned I am not sure about that one Pepsi bottle in question.

Thanks Iggy, I'll read up on that, what little I looked at makes it sound a bit more involved that the average Joe could do at home, I did buy the bottle, and it will be at the very least be a good conversation bottle..... :)

These three Pepsi bicentennial bottles have been irradiated, and began showing up 3-4 years ago. Bottle will change color, but the label isn't affected. Coca-Cola bottle collectors have put up with this problem for many years. There are no original brown glass hobbleskirt Coca-Cola bottles but they show up a lot and unsuspecting collectors are ripped off.

Not counting the squat 7ups, I've also seen domestic 7 oz. ACL 7up bottles in brown glass, one from San Diego is legitimate but I'd be leery of any others from the US. There are a few non USA brown bottles though.

Would you mind showing the 7up collection too?

If you want a Pepsi you're going to have to pay for it!

Why nobody else get the joke!? Back to the Future, anyone? Come on!
