12oz Coca Cola bottle question

I'm no means an expert on earlier Coke bottles, nor do I have "the book" on them. I don't recall ever seeing the embossed non ACL 12oz size, I came across one the other day sitting next to a well worn 6 1/2oz one as well, the 12oz bottle was made by Anchor Hocking and dated 1956. I grabbed both of them. I somewhat remember reading that the 6 1/2oz is desirable? Are the 12oz bottles not nearly as common as the 6oz size?, and what year did the 12oz hobble skirt come out? I don't recall ever seeing a 12oz Coke vending machine before, so I'm thinking they were only available through stores, just a guess. My 12oz and 6 1/2oz bottles on the left of the image, the others are ones I just cleaned at the same time.

Hi RoyalRuby, the 12 ounce and the slimmer 10 ounce all-embossed non-ACL Coca Cola bottles were made in the middle 1950s to the early 1960s (I don't know the exact dates, possibly starting in 1955). Those two sizes are both 9 and 5/8" tall and were both marketed as "King Size". They were both the hobble-skirt shape and the usual "Georgia green" color.
As I recall, some of the 10 ounce size bottles had town names under them, but none of the 12 ounce size did.

The usual Coca-Cola hobble-skirt bottles were 6 ounce capacity until 1957, and were 6½ ounce starting in 1958..

There is a rare 26-ounce crown-top all-embossed non-ACL no-color hobble-skirt No-deposit No-return bottle. That is the largest crown-top all-embossed non-ACL Coca-Cola bottle. It is about 10 and 1/16 inches tall.

Thanks B-O-P, I just checked mine again and it's not an NDNR bottle, are these more common or less than the NDNR embossed only bottles? I'm guessing either way that these embossed only lager size bottles weren't use for long before going to the all being ACL bottles.

Looking in my copy of Porter's Coke Bottle Checklist book, i read that the 6½ ounce all-embossed Coca-Cola bottles continued to be made until 1965, which was a long time after all other soda companies had switched to ACL (Applied color label) and then NDNR (No-deposit No-return).

Coca-Cola bottles were also made with paper labels, foam labels, and foil labels, with screw-cap tops and plastic bottles of various types, so there have been a lot of types.

I'm not much of a collector of NDNR bottles, although I have a few that are somewhat rare, so I don't know much about Coca-Cola NDNR bottles.

It's true that the embossed-only 'king size' Coca-Cola bottles were made for less than 10 years, and they are not NDNR.

As far as I can tell, almost all of the embossed-only crown-top Coca-Cola NDNR bottles are the 10 ounce size. There is a rare 26 ounce and a rare 12 ounce size and uncommon 16 ounce and 8 ounce sizes.
