Looks like you found a nice WWII army dump. The brass piece on the bottom right is from an M1 helmet. I Once found a whole early M1 helmet but it was mostly rust and litterally fell to dust as I excavated it. Had the fixed strap swivels and the aluminum rim was still intact and had the front seam only found on the early variants. All I ended up keeping was the brass strap piece like you have there. Real shame alot of burried history is quickly disintegrating.

Cleaned up really good, I'd would keep looking
