Can anyone please help identify these two bottles recently unearthed on a hike in Groton MA? I've searched the interwebs but only came up with the glass manufacturer information using the stamps on the base. So far as I can cipher they're Owens of Illinois "hobnail" (?), moulded, screw top, soda(?) bottles.

The Manufacturers or "Makers Mark" (MM), in the upper center of the base, shows a capital "I" inside an oval indicating they're from the Owens of Illinois Glass Company.

The Owens of Illinois Glass Company indicates where a bottle was produced with the number to the left of the "MM" . One bottle has a "2" telling me it was made in Huntington West Virginia. The other has a "14" telling me it was made in Bridgetown New Jersey.

The number to the right of the "MM" is the Date Code (DC). On many bottles, a single-digit "DC" indicates the bottle was made in the 1930's or early 1940's. Most bottles from the late 1940's and later have two digit date codes, although single digit date codes were sometimes used in later decades without a period to the right of the code. The Huntington West Virginia bottle has a"DC" of "0" telling me that it was made in either 1930 or 1940. The Bridgetown, New Jersey bottle has a "DC" of "1", telling me it was made in either 1931 or 1941.

The number in the lower center of the base is the Mold Code (MC). The Huntington West Virginia bottle has an "MC" of "2" while the the Bridgetown, New Jersey bottle has an "MC"of "9" with a dash.

Liquor bottles and flasks made by Owens of Illinois Glass Co have a two digit “Liquor Bottle Permit Number" (LBPN) followed by a dash.
The Bridgetown New Jersey plant has the "LBPN" of "55" and the West Virginia bottle has the "LBPN" of 57.

Not sure what they are, but they aren't soda bottles. Screw caps weren't used on soda bottles that far back, they hadn't figured out how to make them withstand the pressure from carbonation yet. These were probably used for some sort of food/beverage product, but could have been all sorts of things really.

Sincere thanks from a rank amateur. The only other I've located on the internet was unearthed in western PA. I'm finding bottle sleuthing to be very intriguing.

Grape soda bottles?
I found one of those about a month or so ago, first one I had found in over three years of digging, then oddly found another when I dug at my sons place a week ago, still no clue what they held. A pic of the first one I found, the other one still hasn't been cleaned. When I tried to find info on mine, the only way I found any listed on eBay was by searching "hobnail bottle" and go through all the listings, I think I found about three listed, none of them had labels.

I was given one of those bottles, but mine is bigger than most I've seen or the last one posted, the bottom, round, bumpy part is probably as big or bigger than a softball, maybe 10-12" tall
