I pulled out a couple of these from a hole that turns up mostly 1870s thru 1890s bottles. It's a stoneware bottle that is a very special light blue color. It's about 4.5" tall. One of these had part of metal ring which has embossed on it : GUARANTEED GENUINE, then a signature that I cannot decipher. Any help is appreciated.

I've been waiting to see what people had to say about those stoneware bottles..
I can't say I have ever seen one like that or that color. Is there anything on the bottom? Roy

Hello Roy,
Nope nothing on the bottom. I have never seen such a bottle in the past either, this one is stumping me! I think the key to this puzzle is deciphering the signature on the metal ring, however all the guesses I've made yielded no results yet.

Almost certainly food related, if I were to guess I'd say it probably contained mustard as I've seen stenciled mustard pots in similar shapes.
