Our turkey was so plump and juicy this year, and it only cost $11 because the store bought too many and had to start giving them away for less.

Gotcha beat, we gave away our village gave away 300 turkeys and 300 hams since I help pass them out mine was free. Although I would have paid if there weren't any left overs but we did have 30
hams at 10 turkeys left over. The rest won't go wasted, next Sundays the seniors Christmas party wear 300 come to have a free meal Wait a minute I'm a senior.
Good thing us diggers could work off everything
we eat, weather is beautiful I'll be out tomorrow.

WOW! I was born a generation too late.;) ..Do they still make Altes? ..Without blundering around, Hemi's got my vote in a close one with the pie maker. I can't stop looking at those buckles. Roger Sherman would be proud.

Thanks Mailman and Hemi. When I get to Detroit or anywhere in Mich. an Altes is what I'll be asking for! Great pics too. ..Btw, Roger Sherman was a very plain, and quiet man. A typical old fashioned, hard working CT Yankee. He always wore old clothes. (Ben Franklin even made fun of him for that at the Constitutional Convention.) The one thing he did splurge on were his shoe buckles. They were usually adorned with diamonds. ..Also, being an old distance runner and ladies X-C coach the young lady's long lower limbs were not lost on me;). --Coach Len's tip of the day- When at the horse track always bet on the bigger heavier horse, NOT the lighter, smaller horse, in any but the shortest of races.
