I can't find any information on this particular 6 1/2 inch "Rushton & Co. Chemists New York" bottle.

Has anyone out there ever seen another example of this bottle? Is it listed in any reference book? or am I holding the only known example?

Hello Mayhem,
I have not seen a RUSHTON bottle like yours before but I have two others and I thought I would share them with you.
The first is a RUSHTON CLARK & Co.
CHEMIST'S , NEW YORK.
It's about 10 1/4 inches tall and has a pontil mark.
The second one reads RUSHTON'S ,
CORNER CANAL STREET + BROADWAY
NEW YORK. It's about 6 1/2 inches tall.
I haven't done any research on either one yet and I can't say for sure they are even the same RUSHTONS, but they are both from New York. Not the best pictures as I was in a hurry take them before leaving the house this morning. Roy

Thanks Roy,
There are a few 10 1/4 inches tall "RUSHTON CLARK & Co. CHEMIST'S, NEW YORK" bottles that have sold at auction but your 6 1/2 inches tall RUSHTON'S and my 6 1/2 tall version may be the only examples.

Does anyone have a reference book that shows these bottles?

Hello Mayhem,
I am surprised we are not hearing from other collectors about the RUSHTON'S.
I dug mine over 50 years ago here in Connecticut , only about 2 hours from NEW YORK city , but I don't recall ever seeing any others. Maybe they are somewhat rare.
My RUSHTON'S was most likely not washed since I found it and because my pictures came out lousy I thought I might give it a bath and try to take a couple of better pictures. Roy

102viadeluna,
Thank you so much for taking the time
and finding that information. That article covers a lot history very quickly and connects all three of the Rushton bottles. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has one of these bottles and if they are of the same styles or completely different. Roy
