Hey y’all,

I was recently doing my top ten finds of 2022 roundup, and wanted to reference my Charles J Reuter hutch with the hutch book #, and I saw that there was no photo, so I sent a photo of mine to Ron, lo and behold, he said he hadn’t seen one since 2008.
I think we can sometimes be a bit insular as a community, and not the most effective at sharing information in tangible formats (ie outside of shows and digs, this website being a massive exception), but an action as simple as taking a photo, and sending it to someone who has the resources to turn it into researchable data, can be so helpful to all of us.

Not familiar with upload protocol, here is a bottle I dug in Richmond VA back in the seventies. It is listed in Digger Odell's Pontil Medicine Encyclopedia. I have never seen another one. It has a corner crack, the glass in the corner is really thin. Not sure where to send this photo.

Have sent several bottle photos to sha.org of bottles with unique attributes. It is by far the best site for bottle identification and information on bottle blowing.

Good advice, I've probably sent Ron at Hutchbook 50 or more Pics of Hutchs, Mostly Michigan. He has a great site he put alot of work & time into & gets no Money as a result as the site & info is Free. I much appreciate all his time & work he's put into the site. As for Medicine Bottle pictured above, that's a nice one. I think there was a website that listed only Medicine Bottles, don't think it had pics though, just a list. Forgot name of it? Nexus something maybe? LEON.

The Wake Up is a great bottle and a rare one. There are a few examples out there, with one selling back in November in GWA 161, Lot 189. I still believe it is a whiskey and not a medicine though.

Quick search for that auction failed. Is that a Great Western auction number? I would think it could be either whiskey or medicine, I would lean toward whiskey.
