Aside from numerous sets of extra clothes and layers, how do y'all best mitigate freezing temperatures?
Even though the ground is somewhat frozen, I would like to get to some digging, relatively soon (hopefully before the next snow-dump).
I'm well versed at the art of layering (snowboarding), but I seem to get into a retard mode when really digging...
Before I realize it, I'm 100% winded and SOAKED!
Even worse, the more I get into it, the hotter I get, and continue to strip layers..
Bad news when the temps are below, or near freezing (and you're MILES out)...
Just curious as to "tricks of the trade" so to speak.
