Value of my amber, art-deco Chocolate Soldier

I bought this bottle at an antique store today, and I was wondering what the approximate value would be. I bought it for $20, and I'm not looking to resell, I just want to make sure I didn't overpay for a common bottle.

... but it didn't sell at that price as nobody has bid on it at $50. That one example has been listed over and over many times.

It's a good deal Hunter because you wanted it and bought it. Good for you. I think it's a wonderful looking bottle with a great graphic.

I paid $2.00 for mine at an antique sale in 2008. It is listed in a kovel price guide dated 1999 at 35 dollars. I would not sell mine for $50 today because it is the only one I have. in fact I don't remember seeing one since I aquired mine. That does not mean they are rare but apparently people are holding onto them at the places that I shop. Knowing my children though they will probably sell it for two dollars at the yard sell after I'm gone.

Good price and it looks to be in good shape. Prices vary but seem to be hanging around $40 at the most online. The clear glass variation is worth much more in good shape of course, condition means everything.
